Sources of research insight in organizational behavior.

Following are the five major sources of research insight in organizational behavior.

1. Meta analysis

A meta analysis is a statistical poling technique that permits behavioral scientists to general conclusion about certain variables from many different studies. In this type of research we collect data from previous researches and apply statistics to find final results. This results will be very authentic.

2.Field studies

In organizational behavior, a field study probes individual or group processes i n an organization settings. Because field studies involve real life situations. Their results often have immediate and practical relevance for managers.

3.experimental research

Experimental research also known as laboratory studies in which variables are manipulated and measured in contrived situations. The highly controlled nature of laboratory studies enhances research precision. But generalizing the results to organizational management requires caution.

4. survey studies

In a survey studies, samples of people from specific populations responds to questionnaires then draw concussions about the relevant populations. Generalization of the result depends on the quality of sampling and questioning techniques.

5.case studies

A case studies is an in-depth analysis of of single individual  group, or organization. because of their limited scope, case studies yield realistic  but not very generalize able result.
